Five Star Aluminium is seeking an experienced and reliable Glazier to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the installation, replacement, repair and finishing of glass and aluminium glazing products across residential and commercial projects.
The role requires a high level of workmanship, attention to detail and commitment to workplace health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, install and replace glass products accurately and safely.
- Install glass into aluminium frames, windows, doors, shopfronts and other glazing systems.
- Install and secure glass using appropriate glazing methods, sealants, gaskets and fixings.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans and job specifications.
- Take accurate site measurements and confirm dimensions prior to fabrication or installation.
- Remove existing glass and glazing systems safely where required.
- Repair and replace damaged glass and glazing components.
- Ensure all installations are completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
- Identify and report defects, installation issues or material requirements to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with builders, carpenters, aluminium fabricators, site supervisors and other trades.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Correctly use and maintain tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
- Complete jobs within agreed timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide professional and courteous service when working on client sites.
Essential Skills & Attributes
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant industry experience.
- AQF Certificate III in Glass and Glazing or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Strong measuring and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work from plans and technical drawings.
- Ability to work safely with glass, aluminium and associated materials.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
- Physically capable of performing manual handling and glazing duties.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Commitment to meeting project deadlines.
hysical Requirements
The role may involve:
- Lifting and carrying glass, aluminium frames and glazing materials.
- Working at heights and on construction sites.
- Standing, bending, kneeling and working in various positions for extended periods.
- Working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Safe manual handling of large and heavy glass panels.
Workplace Health & Safety
The Glazier is required to comply with all applicable workplace health and safety legislation, Australian Standards, site-specific safety requirements and Five Star Aluminium policies and procedures.
All required PPE must be worn and maintained, and all incidents, hazards and unsafe work practices must be reported promptly.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
