About the Role
As Manager ERP HR, you'll lead the team responsible for delivering and continuously improving Water Corporation's HR technology services, including SuccessFactors, payroll technologies and related HR systems.
As a leader, you will champion a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability and customer focus, ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value. You will build trusted relationships across business and technology teams, providing clear direction to your team while confidently managing stakeholder expectations and influencing decision-making at senior levels.
What you’ll do
-
Lead, coach and develop the ERP HR team, creating a clear focus on delivery, service quality, accountability, transparency, continuous improvement and the adoption of SAFe Agile ways of working.
-
Own the delivery, operation and continuous improvement of HR technology services, including SuccessFactors, payroll and related platforms, ensuring services are stable, secure, compliant and fit for future needs.
-
Act as the service owner for ERP HR technologies, balancing business value, service reliability, risk, security, compliance and available capacity to support successful outcomes.
-
Partner with business stakeholders, the Platform Product Owner, vendors and delivery teams to develop and maintain the ERP HR roadmap, prioritise work, manage expectations and deliver business outcomes.
-
Build trusted relationships across business and technology teams, providing thought leadership on ERP HR technologies while identifying, assessing and managing risks, issues, dependencies and delivery constraints.
-
Champion continuous improvement and support the adoption and maturity of SAFe Agile ways of working, improving responsiveness, delivery performance, customer experience and service effectiveness.
-
Uplift organisational understanding of ERP HR services and priorities, providing clear advice to stakeholders and leaders, influencing decision-making and proactively managing expectations to support successful business outcomes.
-
Manage relationships with vendors, managed service providers, delivery teams and other platforms to support service continuity, delivery performance, contractual outcomes and value for money.
About you
You are a technology leader who combines HR technology expertise with strong people leadership, commercial awareness and a bias for action. You are equally comfortable partnering with business stakeholders, influencing senior leaders and leading teams through operational and delivery challenges.
You understand that business stakeholders define outcomes, not technology solutions. You use your knowledge of ERP technology platforms, industry trends and vendor roadmaps to identify opportunities, challenge thinking and help the business realise value through technology.
You lead by example and create an environment where accountability, collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement are expected. You are proactive, outcome-focused and comfortable balancing competing priorities, risks and stakeholder expectations to achieve successful business and service outcomes.
You’ll bring
-
Significant experience leading ERP, HR technology, enterprise applications or platform teams within a large and/or complex organisation, operating in Agile, Scrum, Kanban or hybrid delivery environments.
-
Demonstrated experience supporting, administering or delivering HR technology ecosystems (ideally SAP SuccessFactors), including enterprise SaaS applications and business-critical technology services.
-
Strong people leadership capability, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, succession planning and developing high-performing teams.
-
Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, manage expectations and communicate effectively with executives, business leaders, vendors and technical teams.
-
Experience operating within service ownership models, with accountability for business-critical applications, services and delivery outcomes.
-
Experience managing technology vendors, managed service providers and commercial delivery arrangements.
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability, combined with a commitment to continuous improvement and customer-focused outcomes.
-
A degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related discipline, and/or equivalent industry experience. ITIL Foundation certification or demonstrated knowledge of IT Service Management practices is also desirable.
