Burton Demolition is looking for experienced demolition Excavator Operators to join our team. We work across residential, commercial and industrial projects, using modern equipment and well‑organised site crews. About the Role
You’ll be operating late‑model excavators on a range of demolition projects across Adelaide. Our work includes residential, commercial and industrial demolitions.
You won’t be left on your own, our operators are supported by labourers, supervisors, safety staff and compliance teams. Sites are prepared before machines arrive, including hand demolition and asbestos removal where required, so you can work safely and efficiently. This is a demolition focused role, not bulk civil excavation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating excavators on demolition projects
- Structural demolition using grabs, shears and hammers
- Working with organised site crews and labour support
- Completing daily machine checks
- Following company procedures and site safety requirements
- Delivering safe, efficient demolition work
Skills & Experience
- Excavator/Skid Steer operating licence
- Experience within demolition (residential and commercial)
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow site procedures
- Able to work independently with a labourer onsite and part of a team
- White Card required
- Experience with demolition attachments (grabs, hammers, shears) highly regarded
- Reliable, motivated and takes pride in equipment and workmanship
