We passionately support Australian farmers, delivering the freshest stock straight from the paddock to the plate!We are seeking a physically fit, motivated Deli Team Member (Deli Stock & Prep Assistant) to join our fast-paced department. This role focuses heavily on back-of-house preparation, stock management, and heavy lifting, alongside daily retail merchandising.
What You’ll Do
- Stock & Inventory Management: Receive inbound deliveries, transport heavy bulk crates/pallets from the cool room, and handle large stock items like bulk cheese wheels and salami logs.
- Bakery & Hot Prep: Operate commercial ovens to heat fresh bread rolls, portion products, and package items neatly into retail bags.
- Merchandising & Shelf Packing: Keep display fridges and grab-and-go cases fully stocked, rotated (FIFO method), beautifully presented, and accurately priced.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Maintain immaculate workstations, safely operate department equipment, and strictly follow food handling regulations.
- Ad-Hoc Customer Service & Deli Meat/Cheese Slicing: Step up to the counter to serve customers and safely operate commercial meat slicers to slice cold meats only when required during peak periods or to cover team members.
What You’ll Bring
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts and confidently lift heavy bulk deli supplies (up to 15–20kg regularly).
- Availability: Flexibility to work 3-4 days a week across a rotating roster must be able to work every Saturday
- Strong Work Ethic: Clear communication skills and a reliable, team-player attitude in a fast-paced environment.
