About Us
Brazzos Smokehouse is a growing Queensland retail business specializing in authentic Brazilian barbecue served in a modern fast-casual environment. We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our busy Westfield Chermside location.
This is a genuine management position responsible for leading the daily operations, supervising staff, driving sales performance and ensuring efficient business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and control the daily operation and overall performance of the business.
- Lead, supervise, train and develop front and back of house employees.
- Recruit new staff and assist with performance management.
- Plan staffing requirements, prepare and manage staff rosters, and monitor labour costs to achieve operational targets.
- Determine product mix, plan stock requirements and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Coordinate purchasing and supplier orders to ensure product availability.
- Monitor food, beverage and packaging costs to maximise profitability.
- Maintain inventory records, sales reports and other operational documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, financial reporting and cost control.
- Develop and implement local marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to increase sales and customer engagement.
- Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to improve business performance and profitability.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and professionally resolve customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, Workplace Health and Safety requirements and company policies.
- Report operational performance, staffing and business outcomes directly to the company directors.
- Identify and implement improvements to operational efficiency and customer experience.
Skills & Experience
- Diploma or higher qualification in Retail, Business, Hospitality Management or a related field, or at least three years of relevant management experience.
- Previous management experience within retail, hospitality or quick service restaurant operations.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience in recruitment, staff supervision and performance management.
- Experience with stock control, purchasing and inventory management.
- Knowledge of budgeting and cost control.
- Ability to analyse sales performance and implement strategies to improve business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of Workplace Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
Pay: $79,500.00 – $81,500.00 per year
