The opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Manager to lead our sales strategy and operations across Australia. Based in Dandenong South, VIC, this is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to drive business growth, build high-performing sales teams, and expand our market presence. As National Sales Manager, you will play a crucial strategic role in developing and executing sales initiatives that align with our corporate objectives. This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire teams, drive revenue growth, and foster strong relationships with key customers and partners across the nation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive national sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets and market share objectives
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, including setting performance expectations, providing coaching, and conducting regular performance reviews
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate new customer segments and geographic regions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, partners, and distributors across Australia
- Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decision-making
- Establish and manage sales budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimise profitability
- Collaborate with product development, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, analyses, and forecasts to senior management
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to strengthen brand presence and relationships
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, systems, and team performance through data-driven insights and best practice implementation
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience required in either a Sales or Marketing position
- Proven experience in a national sales or business development management role, preferably within the compressed air or related industry
- Extensive knowledge of compressed air systems, products, and industry trends, specifically including product lifecycle strategy and R&D-to-Market alignment.
- Exceptional communication and high-stakes negotiation abilities.
- Certification in Human-Centred Design, such as Design Thinking, is highly desirable for facilitating cross-functional workshops, agile project management, and customer-centric strategy development.
- Deep understanding of Kaeser's global commercial infrastructure; native or full professional proficiency in German is highly regarded to facilitate seamless strategic reporting to the European Headquarters.
- Knowledge of SAP products of benefit
- Willingness to travel extensively across Australia to support sales teams, partners, and customers
