About Cerberus Health Centre
Cerberus Health Centre is located at HMAS Cerberus in Westernport (adjacent to Crib Point on the Mornington Peninsula). This Naval base has approximately 4000 members and is the primary training establishment for young recruits (about 6000 personnel trained annually), averaging 800 trainees onboard at any one time. The health centre provides primary medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services. It contains a 30 bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. The standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). The facility is also responsible for the provision of after-hours services to ADF personnel on the Mornington Peninsula.
This is a part-time role with rotational shifts. After-hours, weekend and on-call shifts may be required depending on role requirements.
What you’ll do

Deliver nursing care to Defence personnel under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Provide outpatient care, and where required support inpatient care within a health centre or hospital setting

Administer medications (where endorsed) in line with legislative requirements and clinical protocols

Assist with patient assessments, treatment plans and health promotion activities

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality care
What you bring
-
Current unconditional and unrestricted AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2)

Minimum two years’ post registration nursing experience in acute care, primary healthcare or similar setting within the last five years

Medication endorsement (if applicable to role requirements)

Commitment to clinical governance, infection control and high-quality patient care
-
Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
-
Australian Citizenship required (baseline security clearance)
-
Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development
