About the Role
Airpro Mechanical is a well-established Western Australian company specialising in commercial HVAC installation, service and maintenance. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician to join our team.
Report to the service/Project Manager, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a range of commercial HVAC equipment across commercial, industrial and construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble and commission refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including pipework, controls and associated components.
- Service, maintain and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on HVAC equipment, including chillers, CRAC units and associated systems.
- Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure reliable system operation.
- Test refrigeration systems and repair or replace defective components.
- Charge refrigeration systems and ensure compliance with refrigerant handling requirements.
- Perform pressure testing, leak detection and system commissioning activities.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications to install and repair HVAC systems.
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, WHS requirements and regulatory obligations.
Requirements
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Current Manual Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain
- Strong fault-finding skills and proactive work ethic
- Good communication and customer service skills
