Duties included
- Liaise with suppliers to order workshop stock & parts
- Run the depot's workshop
- Maintenance, service, and repairs of company’s heavy vehicle fleet (including plant machinery if experienced)
- Ensuring the fleet is maintained to and in compliance with accreditation requirements
- Basic record keeping & completion of daily paperwork (i.e. writing out faults, service sheets, checking off parts against invoices etc.)
- Ability to make diagnosis and repair unsupervised
- Work with the National Fleet and Maintenance Operations Manager
- Attend breakdowns and troubleshoot repairs on site
Skills & Experience:
- Trade qualification
- HR drivers’ licence is a bonus
- Minimum 2 years post qualification experience as a heavy vehicle mechanic
- Experience servicing & maintaining fleet vehicles
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team oriented
