Satay Boss is a well-established and growing Malaysian Fast Food located in Market Square Sunnybank, Brisbane. We specialise in authentic Southeast Asian cuisine and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service, operational excellence and high-quality food.
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Fast Food Retail Manager to oversee daily operations, lead our team and maintain high standards across all aspects of the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Organising and controlling the overall operation of the fast food retail establishment.
2. Determining product mix, stock levels and service standards to meet customer demand and business objectives.
3. Formulating and implementing purchasing policies, negotiating with suppliers and placing orders for food, beverages and operational supplies.
4. Assisting in the implementation of marketing and promotional activities designed to increase sales and improve customer engagement.
5. Monitoring sales performance and analysing operational reports to maximise profitability.
6. Preparing and monitoring budgets, controlling expenses and implementing cost management strategies.
7. Maintaining records of stock levels, wastage, purchases, sales transactions and other financial information.
8. Conducting regular stocktakes and implementing inventory control procedures to minimise losses.
9. Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training and supervising employees.
10. Preparing staff rosters and allocating duties according to operational requirements and labour budgets.
11. Monitoring employee performance, providing coaching and conducting performance reviews.
12. Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, food safety regulations and company policies.
13. Investigating and resolving customer complaints and implementing service improvement initiatives.
14. Ensuring that customer service standards are consistently maintained throughout all trading periods.
15. Coordinating the opening and closing procedures of the business and ensuring all operational requirements are completed.
16. Liaising with senior management regarding business performance, staffing requirements and operational improvements.
17. Ensuring all required records and reports are completed accurately and submitted within required timeframes.
18. Performing other managerial duties reasonably required for the effective operation of the business.
Skills
- To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 2 years of relevant management experience in a fast food or quick service restaurant environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience in staff rostering and labour cost control
- Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and workplace health and safety requirements
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Relevant hospitality qualification is highly regarded
