We're currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Blackwater Workshop on a permanent, full-time basis.

About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities to maximise fleet reliability, equipment availability, and workshop efficiency.
Working closely with supervisors, tradespeople, and operational teams, you'll ensure maintenance work is effectively scheduled, resources are available, and planned work is delivered safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage preventative and planned maintenance schedules
- Plan labour, parts, and resources to support scheduled maintenance activities
- Coordinate workshop maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime
- Monitor work order progress and maintenance KPIs
- Prepare weekly and short-term maintenance plans
- Maintain accurate maintenance records within the CMMS
- Liaise with operations and maintenance teams to optimise fleet availability
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reliability, and maintenance efficiency
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
- Trade qualification (Diesel Fitting, Heavy Vehicle, Plant Mechanic or similar) or Mechanical Engineering qualification
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Planner within mining, heavy mobile equipment, or earthmoving
- Sound knowledge of planned and preventative maintenance principles
- Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems (SAP, JDE, Pronto or similar)
- Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
