The opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Resource Development Planner to join the team at our Duketon operation.
Reporting to the Senior Resource Development Geologist, you will be responsible for the logistical planning and coordination of resource development drilling programs, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational and compliance requirements. This role will play a key part in supporting the definition and growth of Mineral Resources through effective program execution and stakeholder engagement.
This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) from Perth.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Logistical planning and coordinating resource development drilling program, including infill and extensional drilling activities
Manage logistics associated with drilling, including earthworks, survey coordination and water supply for drilling
Oversee drilling and earthworks contractors to ensure safe, efficient and compliant execution of works
Assist in the preparation of drilling proposals and supporting documentation
Monitor and manage contractor costs, including tracking performance and reporting expenditure
Ensure compliance with Program of Work (POW) requirements, including rehabilitation activities
Conduct field leadership interactions and promote a strong safety culture on site
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including geology, technical services, environmental and safety teams
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency
Provide periodic reporting on safety, operational performance and program progress
Skills and Experiences:
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Previous experience in either a field based exploration pathway or as a geologist with drilling exposure
Strong logistical planning and problem solving skills
Demonstrated experience in drilling programs and field based operations
Experience managing contractors and driving performance outcomes
Solid understanding of drilling productivity, cost control and operational efficiencies
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency in GIS and Microsoft Office software
A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
Current WA class C manual drivers licence
Current Senior/Perform First Aid Certificate – preferred
