We are seeking an experienced and driven person to oversee daily operations of a high-volume hospitality venue. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading front-of-house operations, managing staff performance, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving overall business performance across service, events, and bar/restaurant operations.
This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to maintain high service standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Lead, train, roster, and manage front-of-house staff including supervisors, bartenders, and floor staff
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently delivered
- Manage reservations, seating flow, and floor operations during service periods
- Coordinate and execute functions, events, and large bookings including set-up and pack-down
- Monitor stock levels, ordering, supplier relationships, and inventory control
- Ensure compliance with RSA, WHS, and all legal & licensing regulations
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and resolve issues professionally
- Work closely with senior management on budgeting, reporting, and performance targets
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and staff performance management
- Drive sales growth through service efficiency and guest experience improvements
- Liaise with both other local business and local council regarding promotional matters.
- A background with some experience with HR an advantage
- Deal with minor in house litigation matters
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a restaurant, bar, or venue management role
- Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations in a high-volume venue
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in hospitality settings
- Experience running functions, events, or large group bookings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to work with or pre-existing relationship with industry Rep's
- Solid understanding of hospitality systems (particularly OM and NBI)
- Current RSA certification.
- Experience in European venues highly regarded
- A Bachelors degree in Business Management adventagous
Pay: $75,900.00 – $85,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
