QA Hay is a growing agribusiness specialising in the processing and export of premium oaten hay to international markets. Our modern facility focuses on quality, efficiency, and reliability, supplying customers across Asia and the Middle East.
The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Fitter to support the ongoing performance and reliability of our hay processing plant. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in minimising downtime and keeping production running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment
- Fault finding and mechanical repairs to minimise downtime
- Maintain hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems
- Routine servicing and inspections
- Assist with installation and commissioning of equipment
- Work closely with production to improve plant performance
- Accurate maintenance reporting and record keeping
- Participate in shutdowns and maintenance projects
- Follow all safety, quality, and biosecurity requirements
About You
- Trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter (or similar)
- Hay industry experience (desirable but not essential)
- Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or processing
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, and conveyors
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Flexible with working hours when required
