We are seeking a motivated and experienced retail manager to join our team at Snowbound Sports. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the snow industry, enjoys working in a team environment and understands the intricacies of great customer service.
● Manage daily store and workshop operations, driving sales and profitability targets
● Plan and manage seasonal inventory, purchasing and equipment budgets across skis, boots, bindings, apparel and accessories
● Liaise with suppliers on orders, pricing and product selection
● Drive a high standard of customer service
● Develop strategies to grow sales, customer retention and online channels
● Recruit, roster, train and lead the retail and workshop team
● Resolve escalated customer issues and provide expert product advice
● Ensure WHS, budgeting and compliance requirements are met
Skills Required
● Proven experience managing a specialist retail operation
● Strong inventory, purchasing and budget forecasting background
● Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
● Excellent customer service and communication skills
● Confident analysing sales data and reporting on performance
● Comprehensive understanding of skiing equipment, technical apparel and the mechanics of boot fitting
● Relevant Diploma or higher qualification
Other desirable skills
● Internationally recognised ski boot fitting certification (Sidas or Masterfit)
● Certified ski binding technician
● Experience using Wintersteiger ski tuning equipment
● Personal knowledge of international and local snow resorts.
Pay: $79,500.00 – $80,000.00 per year
