The Role
As a Technician, you will be part of the team responsible for installing and ongoing care, upkeep, and operations of greenwalls, roofs and landscaping . Some of your daily tasks might include:
- Working on installations of greenwalls and greenroofs
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining greenwalls, greenroofs, planters, irrigation lines, pumps, and plumbing systems
- Performing general horticultural tasks: pruning, fertilising, weeding, planting / replacing plants
- Checking and adjusting irrigation / fertigation schedules, ensuring correct watering delivery
- Conducting preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and system failures
- Identifying and addressing issues (leaks, pests, growth problems, structural issues)
- Keeping maintenance records, logs, and reports
What We’re Looking For
Essential / desirable experience and attributes:
- Background in landscaping, gardening or horticulture
- Experience with irrigation systems is a plus but not required.
- Strong ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve on site
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and methodical work habits
- Physical fitness and comfort with outdoor work, sometimes at heights on ladders, scaffolding or rooftops.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Drivers licence
Working Commitment
- Full time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm on offer or part time also available.
- Nursery base location is Ingleside where the days starts.
- Service locations are all across Sydney.
- Driving between client sites will be required as part of your role.
- You’ll generally work outdoors so if you love the outdoors this is the right job for you.
