Part-Time Accounts Officer — NDIS Provider
Office Based | Monday to Friday | 20 hours per week
Pay Rate: $37.36 – $38.50 per hour + superannuation
Classification: SCHADS Award — Social and Community Services Stream, Level 2
We are seeking an experienced and organised Part-Time Accounts Officer to join our growing team within the disability and community services sector.
This role would suit someone who has strong attention to detail, can manage a high-volume accounts workload, and has experience working with a large client base. Experience within the NDIS sector will be highly regarded.
About the Role
As our Accounts Officer, you will support the finance and operations team with day-to-day accounts administration, client billing, account follow-up, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
You will need to be confident managing accounts across 200+ clients, responding to emails and phone calls professionally, and working in a busy office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts administration for a high-volume NDIS client base.
- Assist with client invoicing, billing follow-up, and account enquiries.
- Monitor and respond to finance-related emails and phone calls.
- Liaise with clients, families, plan managers, support coordinators and internal teams.
- Assist with reconciliation, account tracking and payment follow-up.
- Maintain accurate client and financial records.
- Escalate complex billing issues or account concerns where required.
- Support continuous improvement of finance and accounts processes.
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience in accounts, finance, billing or administration.
- Experience managing accounts for a large client base, ideally 200+ clients.
- NDIS, disability, aged care or health sector experience highly regarded.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage emails and phone calls professionally.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong time management and ability to prioritise workload.
- Confidence working with systems, spreadsheets and client records.
- A calm and professional approach when handling account enquiries.
Role Details
- Part-time position.
- 20 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm.
- Office-based role.
- Pay rate: $37.36 – $38.50 per hour + superannuation.
- Classification: SCHADS Award — Social and Community Services Stream, Level 2.
- Potential to progress to full-time within 6–12 months, depending on business growth and performance.
