You crave a career that pushes you, where you'll meet challenges head on and you're guaranteed to grow.
You've been developing your skills and are ready to work on projects that matter to the people of NSW. You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.
In this role, you'll:
Be responsible for carrying out routine site surveillance and supporting more complex inspections on bridge and maritime maintenance and construction projects. The position helps ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
The Surveillance Officer will also be responsible for:
- Conducting routine surveillance activities to verify works are completed in line with required standards, specifications, and processes.
- Monitoring delivery partner performance, tracking progress against milestones and deliverables, and supporting successful project outcomes.
- Assisting with the preparation, review, and assessment of project and contract documentation to support effective project delivery and contract management.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records of surveillance activities, ensuring compliance, auditability, and traceability of works.
- Representing the Agency on site, exercising delegated authority, providing technical advice, and escalating issues where required to support delivery partners and project teams.
- Planning and coordinating surveillance programs, identifying non-conformance issues, conducting site assessments and reassessments, and facilitating practical solutions that meet operational, public, and stakeholder requirements.
This is an ongoing full-time role based at Grafton. While this role is based in Grafton, we are open to considering Ballina as a work location for an exceptional candidate.
