Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Northern Australia) Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and visionary leader for the position of Deputy Principal (P-12) at Carlisle Adventist College. The successful candidate will support the principal in driving academic, co-curricular, pastoral, and spiritual excellence across the entire school.

Support the Principal in the overall leadership and management of the school, playing a key role in fostering an environment that promotes academic excellence, student wellbeing, and strong community engagement, while contributing to a nurturing and effective educational environment for all students. The Deputy Principal also plays a key role in crisis management and conflict resolution, requiring strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. The role actively contributes to achieving the school’s vision by aligning initiatives with its core values and mission.
- Support the implementation of the Adventist Education Transformational Teaching Model.
- Ensure high-quality inclusive practices focused on improving student learning outcomes.
- Stay current with and share developments in pedagogy and student engagement.
- Lead staff and students in planning high-quality teaching and learning.
- Model and encourage a Christian faith aligned with a Seventh-Day Adventist worldview.
- Mentor and coach aspiring leaders and manage Professional Development programs.
- Drive school improvement initiatives across both Primary and Secondary sections.
- Ensure Adventist Christian beliefs and ethos are reflected in school life.
- Oversee the production of Academic Reports and handle discipline matters.
- Develop and maintain effective communications and partnerships with stakeholders.
The successful applicant will hold a formal teaching qualification (degree level as a minimum) relevant to the position and be eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers to teach in Queensland. The successful applicant should be a baptized and practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church or a practising Christian sympathetic to the unique Seventh-day Adventist identity of the College.
