About the Position
White Label Hire is seeking an experienced Equipment Hire Manager to oversee the day-to-
day management of the company's equipment hire division. The successful applicant will be responsible for warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics coordination,
transport scheduling, equipment maintenance, customer service, operational planning and
team leadership to ensure the efficient delivery of hire equipment across corporate events,
exhibitions, weddings and bespoke projects.
This is a key management position responsible for maintaining operational excellence,
maximising equipment utilisation, supporting business growth and delivering exceptional
customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the equipment hire division, ensuring
efficient scheduling, allocation and utilisation of equipment.
Plan and coordinate equipment hire activities to meet customer requirements, project
timelines and operational targets.
Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, equipment allocation and asset
tracking.
Monitor equipment availability, condition and performance to minimise downtime.
Coordinate equipment inspections, servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance
programs.
Manage transport logistics, including deliveries, collections and equipment movements.
Supervise warehouse staff, drivers, technicians and operational personnel.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, venues and
contractors.
Prepare and manage hire quotations, agreements, invoices and operational
documentation.
Respond to customer enquiries and resolve operational issues promptly.
Monitor inventory levels, hire trends and operational performance.
Assist in monitoring operational expenditure, inventory planning and cost efficiencies.
Analyse operational reports and contribute to business planning and profitability
improvements.
Negotiate rental terms and service agreements with clients and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, company policies and relevant Australian
workplace legislation.
Review operational procedures and implement continuous improvement initiatives to
enhance efficiency, service quality and customer satisfaction.
Skills and Experience
Minimum 3 years' demonstrated experience in equipment hire, logistics, warehouse
operations or operational management within a commercial environment.
Relevant Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain
Management, Operations Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry
experience where appropriate.
Proven experience managing equipment inventories and coordinating multiple
concurrent projects.
Demonstrated ability to manage warehouse operations, transport scheduling,
equipment allocation and preventative maintenance.
Strong leadership skills with experience supervising warehouse teams, drivers and
operational personnel.
Experience implementing inventory control processes and operational improvements.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements relating to warehouse,
transport and equipment handling operations.
High level of computer literacy with experience using inventory management and
scheduling systems.
Ability to analyse operational performance and implement continuous improvement
initiatives.
