About the Role:
Are you an experienced Maintenance Supervisor looking for your next FIFO opportunity? Join Sodexo in Weipa and lead a skilled team to deliver safe, reliable and efficient maintenance services. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee daily maintenance operations, coordinate planned and reactive works, and drive continuous improvement across site.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising and coordinating daily maintenance activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
Planning, scheduling and prioritising preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
Leading, mentoring and developing maintenance team members.
Conducting equipment inspections and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records, reports and compliance documentation.
Promoting and enforcing workplace health, safety and environmental standards.
Managing maintenance budgets and optimising resource allocation.
Coordinating contractors and specialist service providers.
Monitoring maintenance performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Building strong relationships with operational stakeholders to ensure maintenance objectives are achieved.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A trade qualification in Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC or Carpentry.
A minimum of 5 years' experience supervising maintenance teams within an industrial, mining, facilities management or similar environment.
Previous experience working in a FIFO or remote operational environment.
Strong knowledge of building maintenance systems, mechanical and electrical maintenance practices.
Experience planning and scheduling preventative maintenance programs.
Proficiency using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
A sound understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
The ability to analyse maintenance performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Desirable:
Experience managing maintenance budgets and contractors.
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
