What you’ll be doing
For many people, your voice will be one of the first they hear when they reach out to Suncare.
As a Customer Contact Consultant, you'll be there to answer questions, provide information, and help people take the next step towards the support they're looking for. Sometimes that means helping someone understand their options. Other times, it means listening, solving a problem, or connecting them with the right person.
Every conversation is an opportunity to make someone feel heard, understood, and supported.
This is a permanent full-time position Monday to Friday (76 hours per fortnight).
Day to day, you'll:
- Be the first point of contact for people getting in touch with Suncare
- Provide helpful, accurate information about our services and support options
- Listen carefully to understand what people need and guide them to the right support
- Respond to enquiries, concerns and complaints with care, professionalism and empathy
- Build positive relationships with customers, families, team members and community partners
- Keep customer information accurate and up to date
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of customer interactions
- Stay informed about Suncare services and changes across the aged care sector
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure people receive a positive and consistent experience
- Look for opportunities to make each interaction as helpful and straightforward as possible
You’ll thrive in this role if...
- You genuinely enjoy helping people and can stay calm, patient and positive, even when conversations are challenging.
- You're a great listener, communicate clearly, and know how to make people feel comfortable asking for help.
- You'll also bring:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A warm, professional phone manner and strong customer service experience
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and database systems
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
- Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
- The ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
- Experience responding to urgent customer situations or changing circumstances
- Experience coordinating services, referrals or support pathways (desirable)
- A Diploma in Business Administration, Community Development, or a related field would be advantageous but not essential
