We are seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified maritime professionals to join our Australian Border Force (ABF) Charter Program in permanent positions.
We are inviting applications from experienced candidates for the following vessel-based positions:
- Master <45m Near Coastal
- Chief Officer <45m Near Coastal
- Second Officer <45m Near Coastal
- Chief Engineer Engineer Class 3 Near Coastal
- First Engineer Marine Engine Driver MED 1
- General Purpose Hand, Coxswain Grade 1 or equivalent
- Marine Cook, Certificate III in cookery
These Domestic Class Vessel is 4m LOA and 8m breadth, operating with a complement of 8 crew on a 21 day even time roster. Operating out of Darwin, with opportunities available for both local and FIFO personnel.
Essential Requirements:
- Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain a baseline security clearance
- Relevant AMSA Certificate of Competency, Certificate of Proficiency, or other qualifications applicable to the position being applied for
- Valid Certificate of Medical Fitness (AMSA approved)
- Current CoST qualifications
- Commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence
Desirable experience/qualifications:
- Previous maritime experience on vessels of similar size
- GMDSS, ECDIS qualifications for Deck officer positions
