Your new role:
As a Senior Social Worker, you will deliver high-quality Social Work and case management services to consumers within the Adult Community Mental Health Team, while contributing to clinical leadership, education and service improvement. Key responsibilities include:
Providing assessment, intervention, case management and evaluation using evidence-based practice.
Managing complex clinical workloads and exercising increasingly independent clinical judgement.
Providing clinical advice and support to Social Work and multidisciplinary team members.
Working collaboratively with consumers, carers, health professionals and community organisations to support positive outcomes and effective discharge planning.
Providing supervision, training and support to less experienced clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants.
Contributing to quality improvement, research and the development of clinical practices, policies and procedures.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced Social Worker who can bring strong clinical expertise, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to the role, with skills in:
Delivering high-level Social Work clinical services within an Adult Community Mental Health setting.
Managing complex clinical presentations, prioritising workloads and supporting effective discharge planning.
Communicating confidently and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Providing clinical advice, supervision, training and support to less experienced practitioners and students.
Building effective relationships with consumers, carers, colleagues and external agencies.
Identifying and contributing to service improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
You will also need a tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), along with the appropriate Class C motor vehicle licence endorsement.
