The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator - Complex Management Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Ensure ongoing unit-based education and in-service delivery for the unit nursing staff
Maintain a quality service, ensuring all nurses in the service have a high standard of care delivery
Have the ability to provide advanced clinical advice
Support the development of clinical staff capabilities
Contribute with developing and supporting nurses in continuous improvement
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Temporary full time (6 months, with possibility of extension)
Base salary ranging from $4 368.80 - $4 678.10 per fortnight
About Us
The Complex Management Unit delivers a total of 22 sub acute inpatient beds dedicated to general medical patients who no longer need acute interventions, and require complex psychosocial and functional management for discharge planning.
The unit is supported by a rehabilitation physician and a geriatrician. The model of care is operationalised using a multi-disciplinary approach with specialist medical, nursing and allied health staff. Such model optimises patient care and an efficient pathway for this cohort of patients.
