So what's the gig?
We're chasing a Machine Operator to run production machinery in our pipe manufacturing facility; turning out screw piles that are quality checked to spec, and ready for installation crews.
You'll be hands-on, keeping machines fed and running, checking your own work, and hitting production targets without letting quality slip.
If you're the type who likes a machine that's dialled in, a tidy workstation, and numbers that stack up at the end of the day; this one's for you.
What you'll be doing
- Operating production machinery to manufacture screw piles and components
- Setting up, loading, and running machines to daily production targets
- Checking product against quality standards; measurements, welds, finish
- Recording production counts, batch details, and quality checks
- Moving materials with forklifts and overhead cranes to keep the production line going
- Daily pre-starts, checks, and basic maintenance so the machines stays reliable
- Flagging issues early; worn tooling, off-spec product, machine faults
- Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organised
- Following safety systems and wearing PPE (no shortcuts here)
The kind of person we're after
- Experience operating production or manufacturing machinery
- Mechanically minded; understands how machines work, not just which button to press
- Sharp eye for detail and takes pride in quality work
- Reliable with paperwork and production reporting (counts, checks, batch records)
- Safety-focused and doesn't take risks for the sake of speed
- Forklift ticket (or willing to get one); crane/dogging tickets a bonus
- Flexible and happy to do overtime when the job demands it
- Solid communicator and problem solver; doesn't panic when things get tricky

Entry / developing operator - $70,000–$75,000 + super
Experienced machine operator - $78,000–$85,000 + super
Multi-skilled operator - $88,000–$95,000 + super
