Serving the local community and passing motorists, the store provides fuel, convenience products, food and beverages, and everyday essentials within a fast-paced retail environment.
We are currently seeking a hands-on Retail Manager to lead the team and ensure the smooth, efficient and profitable operation of the store.

Salary - $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused Retail Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a busy service station and convenience store. You will oversee staff, customer service, sales performance, stock control and merchandising while ensuring the store operates efficiently and maintains high standards of presentation, safety and customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Manage the daily operations of the retail store to achieve efficient and profitable business performance.
· Lead, supervise and support retail staff, including allocating duties and monitoring performance.
· Monitor sales results, operating costs and store performance against business targets.
· Manage stock levels, ordering, deliveries, stock takes and inventory control to minimise wastage and loss.
· Develop and implement purchasing and promotional strategies to support sales and customer demand.
· Ensure products, promotional materials and displays are presented effectively throughout the store.
· Maintain high standards of customer service and professionally resolve customer enquiries, feedback and complaints.
· Prepare staff rosters and ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
· Oversee cash handling, reconciliations and relevant store reporting procedures.
· Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures and applicable retail regulations.
· Assist with the recruitment, induction, training and ongoing development of retail employees.
· Liaise with suppliers and representatives regarding stock availability, pricing, deliveries and promotional activities.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· Relevant qualification, such as a Diploma of Retail Management, Business or a related discipline or higher qualification (or agreed equivalent).
· Minimum of 1 year relevant experience as a Retail Manager, or in a comparable retail management role.
· Demonstrated experience supervising and supporting employees within a busy retail environment.
· Sound knowledge of stock control, ordering, merchandising and general retail operations.
· Ability to monitor sales performance, operating costs and business targets.
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Good organisational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Flexibility to work across the operational requirements of the business, including weekends and public holidays where required.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
