The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced career Legal Assistant to work in our Public Law team based in Melbourne. This is a high-volume litigation practice, and we represent key Government clients.
Responsibilities include day to day administration and the following:
- Monitoring multiple shared inboxes
- Opening and closing files;
- Answering phone calls and assisting with matter enquiries;
- Scheduling appointments, court events and diary management;
- Filing and serving documents
- Other administrative support required by solicitors.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a legal assistant, ideally in a high-volume litigation practice
- A professional approach with a client service focus
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite
- The ability to prioritise tasks with a proven history of meeting deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
