The Role
We're seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Pastry Chefs to join our culinary team on a casual basis.
Working within our high-volume Pastry Kitchen, you'll contribute to the creation of exceptional desserts, pastries and sweet treats that support some of Australia's most recognised events, while also servicing a diverse range of restaurants, bars and hospitality venues across Crown Melbourne.
As a Chef, you'll create joyful moments through genuine care and connection, guided by Crown's 4Cs of Service Excellence , Be Courteous, Connect, Create, and Care, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to elevated hospitality.
In this role you'll:
Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts and baked goods in a fast-paced production environment.
Support the delivery of pastry offerings for events ranging from intimate functions through to large-scale conferences and gala events.
Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
Ensure consistency, quality and attention to detail across all pastry production.
Collaborate with a diverse culinary team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Contribute to a positive team culture and operational excellence within the Pastry Kitchen.
About You
You'll bring the following:
Previous experience in a high-volume pastry kitchen, with hotel, events, conferencing or catering experience highly regarded.
Certificate III in Patisserie, Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
A passion for the pastry industry and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
Ability to maintain high and consistent product standards in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays .
