About the Role
Velocity Truck Centres is seeking a proven operational leader to step into a key leadership role as Branch Manager at Daimler Trucks Gold Coast, with accountability for driving performance across a well-established dealership operation.
Leading a team of approximately 20 people, this role offers the opportunity to shape day-to-day operations, lift customer outcomes and strengthen commercial performance across the branch.
This role will particularly appeal to an experienced dealership or operational leader with a strong Parts background, who understands the importance of inventory availability, customer uptime, margin performance and disciplined branch execution.
You will balance operational discipline with people leadership, build accountability across teams, and create a safe, customer-focused environment that delivers consistent results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day branch operations, with a strong focus on customer outcomes, operational discipline, parts availability, commercial performance and team accountability.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, uptime, throughput, efficiency and profitability.
- Champion a safety‑first culture, ensuring compliance with all safety, HSE and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, OEM partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial performance across the branch, with clear accountability for cost control, margin improvement, inventory discipline and sustainable growth.
- Develop, coach and empower leaders and team members to drive capability uplift, engagement and retention.
- Ensure operational disciplines, systems and processes are consistently applied and continuously improved.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven leadership experience in a dealership, automotive, heavy vehicle, equipment or comparable operational environment, ideally with strong Parts experience.
- A practical understanding of parts operations, inventory control, customer uptime, supply chain responsiveness and margin performance.
- Strong experience managing operational and financial performance, with a track record of improving profitability through disciplined execution.
- Solid commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into practical action.
- A genuine commitment to safety, compliance and building a strong safety culture.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a highly customer‑focused approach.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, sites and functions in a matrix organisation.
