About the role
Fella Hamilton is seeking an experienced Retail Manager for our Ladies Fashion store located in Sandy Bay, TAS This is a part-time position Monday to Friday 10-5pm- 35hrs per week no late nights or weekends! The role offers the perfect opportunity to lead and manage a dynamic retail environment whilst maintaining a flexible work schedule. As Retail Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, driving sales performance, and creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. This role is strategically important to our business, as you will be instrumental in achieving our commercial objectives and representing the Fella Hamilton brand with excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Managing all day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management
- Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing retail team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets and key performance indicators through effective merchandising and promotional strategies
- Maintaining visual merchandising standards to ensure the store presents an attractive and inviting shopping environment
- Managing stock levels, conducting regular stock takes, and minimising shrinkage
- Building strong relationships with customers and creating a loyal customer base through exceptional service
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and relevant retail legislation
- Recruiting, training and evaluating team members to foster a positive workplace culture
- Monitoring financial performance including till reconciliation, cash handling, and reporting on store metrics
- Responding to customer complaints and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably within the fashion or consumer products sector
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional shopping experiences
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets and manage budgets effectively
- Knowledge of visual merchandising and retail best practices
- Proficiency with retail management systems and point-of-sale technology
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
- A professional and reliable approach with a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work weekends and peak retail periods only as required
- Preferably, experience in women's fashion retail or luxury goods retail
