About the Role
We are seeking a Trade/Installation Assistant who would be capable of assisting in the workshop and on onsite installations to join our team in Welshpool.
This is a hands-on role involving work both onsite and in the workshop. Serious candidates only. Industry experience not required. Some workshop experience essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with workshop fabrication and tasks.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Working onsite, including at heights where required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Reading and interpreting basic workshop drawings.
Skills & Experience
- Some experience in duct installation / sheet metal installation (Desirable)
- Some experience with dust extraction or industrial ventilation systems (Desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong hands-on skills and mechanical aptitude
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Requirements
- Full working rights in Australia (no working holiday visas)
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Current C-Class driver’s licence
- White Card (or willing to obtain)
- Shows initiative and a determination to learn.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical dexterity and the ability to follow a plan and directions.
- Possess good written and spoken English skills.
Desirable (Not Essential)
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket
- Working at Heights
- Forklift licence
- Welding or fabrication experience
