School Crossing Supervisor
Permanent Part-Time - 10 hours per week
$31.84 per hour plus superannuation
Location: Traralgon

Do you enjoy being outdoors, working with people, and making a real difference every day?
As a School Crossing Supervisor , you’ll play a vital role in keeping children and families safe during school drop-off and pick-up times — providing reassurance to parents and helping young people start and end their school day safely.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Ensuring the safety of children and pedestrians at designated school crossings
- Supervising crossings before and after school during school terms
- Promoting safe road-crossing behaviour and positive interactions with motorists
- Building friendly, respectful relationships with children, families, and the wider community
- Carrying out duties in line with VicRoads guidelines and traffic regulations
Work Hours
- Short, regular shifts — 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon
- Times align with school operating hours
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need previous experience — just the right attitude and a commitment to safety.
You will bring:
- A warm, approachable, and reliable nature
- The ability to communicate clearly and calmly with children and road users
- Good judgement in varying traffic conditions
- A willingness to learn and follow VicRoads traffic procedures
Pre-Employment Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to:
- Obtain a National Police Check
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check
- Complete a pre-employment medical assessment , as required
