Job Description
We are seeking a safety focused and driven Seamgas Operations Superintendent to support and help lead the Seamgas Operations department. Working closely with the Seamgas Manager, you will oversee systems, planning, contractor performance, compliance and the safe operation of surface gas drainage infrastructure.
What you’ll be doing

Lead the operation and maintenance of surface gas extraction infrastructure.

Manage Seamgas Operations contractors, including planning, coordination, execution, monitoring and financial control.

Generate physicals for the Monthly Operating Plan and contribute to the Annual Business Plan.

Manage safety systems, compliance requirements and work management processes across the department.

Maintain effective budgeting and cost control systems within your area of responsibility.

Provide accurate planning and scheduling baselines to support reforecasting and strategic plans.

Compile high-quality mine site reports and contract performance updates for key stakeholders.

Communicate regularly with the workforce through formal sessions and day-to-day engagement.

Identify and deliver business improvement opportunities across Seamgas operational activities.
Qualifications
You will be a confident operational leader who can balance safety, compliance, planning, contractor management and performance delivery.

Previous experience within the coal or gas industry.

Supervisor competencies as determined and recognised by the Coal Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee.

Demonstrated experience leading teams to deliver against operational targets.

Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and workforce leadership skills.

Ability to use business systems and extract relevant data for reporting and decision-making.

Experience developing and controlling departmental budgets and expenditure.

Tertiary qualifications in Maintenance Management or a related field will be highly regarded.

Project management skills or qualifications will be advantageous.
