The Opportunity
This is a permanent, full-time role, although open to part time workers and will be based at the Puckapunyal Defence Base (Seymour, VIC region). The position offers excellent opportunities for career progression and the chance to gain valuable experience within the Defence industry. In this role, you will provide high-quality customer service along with essential basic tailoring services, directly supporting Defence personnel in their day-to-day duties within a highly rewarding environment.

Key duties will include:

Basic sewing tasks of hemming, ironing, alterations, and medal mounting as per the Defence specifications

Measure and fit customers for clothing items
-
General clothing stores duties including ensuring clothing store inventory records are accurate

Receive, check, and acquit stores under supervision

Assist with kit issues for customers

Prepare or process stores documentation and maintain warehouse records
To be considered for the role you will have:
-
Australian citizenship
-
Basic to intermediate sewing skills
-
A strong customer-service focus in all interactions

Experience measuring and fitting garments
-
Previous experience in retail or clothing store operations

Proven ability to schedule workloads and meet production deadlines
-
Confidence using the basic Microsoft Office suite for record-keeping
