As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of multiple civil infrastructure projects, applying technical expertise and project management capabilities to coordinate design, construction and maintenance activities, manage contracts, and ensure effective delivery of complex project programs.
Accountabilities include:
Lead and deliver complex road infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle, ensuring time, cost, quality and performance outcomes.
Provide technical leadership to plan, coordinate and manage resources, teams and project activities.
Manage procurement, contracts and compliance with all relevant legislation, standards and procedures.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across internal teams, community and industry.
Promote best-practice project management and continuous improvement in delivery.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Civil Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for permanent appointment to the position.
The employee may be required to mentor and supervise the work of non RPEQs.
Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's license or equivalent.
You will be required to travel to other locations to undertake activities for varying periods of time. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel.

Demonstrated ability to define and articulate program strategy, align delivery with organisational objectives, and continuously refine priorities through stakeholder engagement and insight.
Highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships, tailor messaging, and lead collaboration across teams and organisational boundaries.
Proven ability to operate with integrity and impartiality, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks, and delivering value through best-practice procurement and supplier management.
Strong program and project management capability, including advanced knowledge of scheduling, risk management, and the application of relevant systems, methodologies, tools and techniques.
Extensive knowledge and experience in road construction and/or maintenance, with the ability to apply technical expertise and contribute to continuous improvement in delivery practices.
