Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Sydney Accounting team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse client portfolio, delivering high-quality accounting and taxation services, building trusted client relationships, and supporting junior team members while contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, BAS and IAS.
- Deliver high-quality tax and compliance services to SME clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Support tax planning and business advisory engagements.
- Review workpapers and ensure compliance with professional standards.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Contribute to process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Managers and Directors to deliver exceptional client outcomes
Qualifications and Experience
- 4+ years' experience in Australian Public Practice Accounting.
- Hold full working rights to work in Australia.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Statements, Income Tax, BAS, IAS and FBT.
- Experience using Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
- A proactive mindset and passion for delivering outstanding client service.
