As Demi Chef, you’ll support the daily operations of the Catseye Pool Club kitchen, assisting in the preparation and service of seafood-focused dishes that reflect the Nilands' innovative and sustainable culinary philosophy. You'll work across various sections of the kitchen, refine your skills, and contribute to delivering consistently exceptional dining experiences.

Prepare and cook seafood and supporting dishes under guidance from senior chefs

Uphold high standards in food quality, presentation, and sustainability

Work across kitchen stations including grill, cold larder, and fish prep

Maintain food hygiene, storage, and safety protocols at all times

Contribute to prep for daily service and special event menus

Participate in team meetings, briefings, and kitchen handovers
You are a passionate and reliable kitchen professional, eager to build your skills in a supportive and world-class environment. You are detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and are genuinely excited about seafood and sustainability.

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Essential)

At least 1–2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen

Passion for seafood and an interest in zero-waste cooking methods

Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a collaborative attitude

Ability to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and event service

Valid working rights in Australia

Manual open driver’s licence (preferred)
