Position – ICT Security Specialist
Location – North Geelong, Victoria 3215
Salary - $78,000 - $83,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified ICT Security Specialist to support the security, integrity and reliability of ICT systems and infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security controls, monitoring systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities, supporting disaster recovery processes and ensuring effective ICT security policies and procedures are maintained.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Implement, manage and maintain ICT security policies, procedures and security controls to protect systems and information.
· Monitor ICT systems and networks to identify potential security threats, vulnerabilities and unauthorised activity.
· Establish and maintain system backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures to support business continuity.
· Analyse, recommend, install and maintain security software and applications to strengthen system protection.
· Test systems and security upgrades, identity faults and vulnerabilities and resolve identified security issues.
· Monitor and maintain security and integrity controls across databases, servers, networks and other ICT infrastructure.
· Investigate and troubleshoot security-related hardware, software and system issues and implement appropriate solutions.
· Liaise with security vendors, suppliers and external service provides regarding security systems, performance and service requirements.
· Prepare and maintain ICT security documentation, policies, procedures, operational records and system logs.
· Review existing ICT environments and recommend security improvements and enhancements to meet current and future business requirements.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· Relevant qualification, such as a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science or a closely related discipline (or agreed equivalent).
· Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in ICT security, cybersecurity or a closely related role.
· Demonstrated knowledge of ICT security principles, security controls, policies and procedures.
· Experience identifying, investigating and responding to system security threats and vulnerabilities.
· Knowledge of system backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes.
· Experience with security applications, network security and system monitoring tools.
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, security procedures and system records.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, vendors and external service providers.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
WHAT IS ON OFFER:
