We specialise in new home builds, renovations and home improvement projects, and are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service to our clients across greater Melbourne. As our project pipeline continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Painter to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare interior and exterior building surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching and filling imperfections prior to painting.
- Apply paint, varnish, stain, sealers and other protective or decorative finishes to walls, ceilings, timber, metal and other surfaces using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
- Mix and match paint colours to achieve the required finish and maintain consistency throughout each project.
- Protect surrounding areas, fixtures and flooring before commencing painting works and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Read and interpret work instructions and project specifications to ensure painting work meets quality standards and client expectations.
- Carry out finishing and touch-up work on new homes, renovations and maintenance projects to achieve a professional finish.
- Inspect completed work, identify defects where required and carry out rectification work to ensure a high standard of workmanship.
- Work closely with supervisors, builders and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and within required timeframes.
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and correctly use painting tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
Essential Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant painting experience.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation and finishing methods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable, punctual and able to meet project deadlines.
- Valid Australian work rights.
