About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1 – Drug & Alcohol, you will provide expert clinical leadership and specialist care across Hospital Consultation Liaison, ambulatory withdrawal management, and outpatient services. Based at Port Macquarie, you'll work collaboratively with emergency, mental health, hospital, and community teams to improve treatment access, patient outcomes, and continuity of care. This role offers the opportunity to influence clinical practice, deliver education, and contribute to service development within a supportive senior nursing team.
About You
You are an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in drug and alcohol assessment, withdrawal management, and evidence-based treatment approaches. You bring strong clinical leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Passionate about improving outcomes for people with substance use disorders, you are committed to education, quality improvement, and delivering person-centred care.
