About The Glebe
The Glebe is a historic property in Berrima being regenerated into a living, working enterprise focused on food production, ecological restoration, cultural engagement, tourism and education. With deep roots in the Southern Highlands, The Glebe is being re imagined as a place where heritage meets innovation, generating meaningful outcomes for the local community, agricultural producers and regional visitors.
We are now seeking a highly experienced Creative Producer Director to lead the storytelling of this transformative journey — through film, television and multimedia productions that bring to life the land, the people and the regenerative values that guide us.
Your Role
As Creative Director, you will oversee the development, production and delivery of creative works that reflect and amplify The Glebe’s mission. You will guide original storytelling; from concept to screen; ensuring that each project is visually compelling, emotionally resonant and grounded in authenticity.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and produce creative content featuring cast, actors, contributors and community talent.
- Script, storyboard, and plan narrative or documentary productions.
- Film and edit content, acting as camera operator and/or edit producer as required using a range of equipment including drones.
- Record and manage sound and lighting for live and recorded projects.
- Operate drones for aerial footage (where appropriate and licensed).
- Conduct research and interviews to ensure cultural, historical and ecological accuracy.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across food, education, culture, and ecology.
- Manage production budgets and timelines, ensuring efficiency without compromising quality.
- Ensure all work is aligned with The Glebe’s heritage, environmental, and social values.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor, Master or Doctoral-level degree in one of the following:
- Cinematography / Film & Media Production
- Radio & Television Studies
- Drama / Theatre Arts
- Digital Media / Film Editing / Multimedia Design
Core Skills & Experience:
- Proven extensive experience (greater than 5 years) directing and producing across film, television and/or multimedia productions.
- Previous experience in a similar role with a focus on farming, animals, agriculture and regeneration.
- Specific previous experience on productions involving agriculture and farm animals
- Strong script writing and storytelling skills.
- Hands-on experience with editing, camera operation, and audio-visual setup.
- Competency in sound & lighting for on-location and studio productions.
- Experience or accreditation as a drone operator (desirable).
- Research capabilities to support historically and ecologically informed content.
- Active budget and time management across multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to engage with diverse collaborators and bring community voices to the forefront.
