Join the YEM Technology Team – FIFO Mechanical Supervisor
YEM Technology is seeking an experienced
Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at the Sino Iron Project, located at Cape Preston, 100km southwest of Karratha in Western Australia.
This is a FIFO role from Perth on a 2:1 roster with both permanent and casual arrangements available.

The Role
The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for mechanical maintenance and upgrading works for the magnetite iron-ore beneficiation plant and other duties as listed below:
- Providing effective leadership and supervision to the mechanical team, ensuring mechanical works are completed within YEM expectations and safety regulations.
- Conducting regular audits and statutory inspections to ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
- Ensuring contractors working onsite are appropriately trained and complying with site safety and equipment standards.
- Undertake any other duty within your capabilities, to meet team/project needs.
- Fast-paced rolling shutdown schedule
- Complying and supporting YEM Quality Management System including reporting, investigating, and rectifying non-conformances
Requirements for the Role
We are seeking experienced candidates with the following skills, experience and qualities:
- Previous experience in leadership and supervision in mechanical maintenance
- Experience in the maintenance of mechanical equipment within a minerals processing environment, particularly on diverter chute and screen maintenance
- Strong work history and clear knowledge of replacing panels, structural metal and mechanical repairs
- Mechanical Fitter Trade background
- Confined Space, Working at Height & EWP ticket within 5 years
- S26 Statutory supervisor qualification
- Relevant tickets and qualifications required in the industry
- Ability to be flexible with your approach to work
- Foster and maintain a high commitment to safety through supervision and a high level of communication
- Hands-on and practical approach to work systems
