About the Role
S N Y Tiling Pty Ltd is a Sydney-based tiling company specialising in duplex and large-scale residential projects, including luxury homes. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Wall & Floor Tiler to join our team, working across new builds and renovations on high-standard residential developments throughout the Sydney metropolitan area.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for tiling, including cleaning, levelling, and waterproofing walls, floors, and other surfaces
- Measure and mark out work areas to determine tile layout, patterns, and quantities required
- Cut and shape tiles (ceramic, porcelain, stone, mosaic) to fit around fixtures, corners, and edges using hand and power tools
- Mix and apply adhesives, mortar, and grouting compounds according to manufacturer specifications
- Lay and fix tiles to walls, floors, benchtops, and splashbacks across duplex and large residential/luxury home projects, in accordance with plans and specifications
- Apply grout and sealants to finish tiled surfaces and ensure a durable, water-resistant finish
- Install expansion joints, trims, and edging to ensure structural integrity and a professional finish
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, alignment, and quality, rectifying any defects
- Read and interpret building plans, specifications, and job instructions for multi-unit and large-scale residential builds
- Maintain tools and equipment, and ensure worksites are kept clean, tidy, and safe
- Comply with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations and site-specific safety requirements at all times
Requirements
- Relevant trade qualification in Wall & Floor Tiling (Certificate III) or equivalent demonstrated industry experience
- Sound knowledge of tiling materials, adhesives, and waterproofing methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including kneeling, bending, and lifting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
