We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join the team at Jackson McDonald. This diverse role provides key support to a team of legal professionals, ensuring they are equipped to perform at their best. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organised, and able to manage multiple tasks while prioritising competing demands in a busy practice environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- General administration including word processing, document creation, filing, maintaining the document management system, and organising couriers.
- Matter-related processing including opening and closing matters, preparing conflict checks, client billing, conducting data and system searches, creating engagement letters and trust statements, and managing document lodgement.
- Practice support including diary management, general practice administration, and scheduling appointments.
- Client services including answering client phone calls, managing events, assisting with client portals, preparing reports, and supporting new client onboarding.
