We are currently seeking a Piano Teacher to join our team to deliver exceptional lessons to our students. In this role, you will provide high-quality piano lessons to students and support their development while contributing to Carey's broader instrumental music program.
This is a 0.8 FTE fixed-term position, commencing in Term 3, 2026 through to the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be required to work across both the Kew and Donvale campus.

The role:
- Deliver engaging piano lessons to students (individual and/or small group)
- Support students in developing technical skills, musicality and confidence
- Prepare students for performances, ensembles or assessments where applicable
- Collaborate with the Performing Arts team to support the wider music program
- Build positive relationships with students, staff and families
What do I need to succeed?
- Outstanding musicianship and expertise in piano instruction
- A passion for engaging and inspiring young people in music education
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to create a rapport with staff, parents and students
- Teaching qualifications are highly desirable
A valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration or Working with Children Check (WWCC) is a requirement of employment in this position.
