As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our team.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified and creative Interior Designer to develop and deliver interior design solutions for residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to understand their requirements, prepare design concepts, recommend materials and finishes, and coordinate project outcomes from concept through to implementation.
Key Responsibilities
● Consult with clients to determine design objectives, functional requirements, budgets and project scope.
● Analyse client requirements and develop creative interior design concepts and space-planning solutions.
● Prepare design presentations, mood boards, colour schemes, material schedules and finish selections.
● Develop detailed interior design documentation, specifications and drawings using industry-standard design software.
● Advise clients on flooring products, finishes, colours, textures, lighting, furnishings and decorative elements suitable for their project.
● Coordinate the selection and integration of flooring materials with broader interior design outcomes.
● Liaise with architects, builders, contractors, suppliers and installers throughout project delivery.
● Prepare design proposals, quotations and project documentation.
● Conduct site visits, measurements and design assessments to ensure project requirements are accurately documented.
● Monitor project progress and provide design support during installation and fit-out stages.
● Research design trends, products, materials and industry innovations to ensure contemporary and effective design solutions.
● Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations, client requirements and project specifications.
● Maintain professional relationships with clients and provide high-quality customer service throughout the design process.
About You – Essential Requirements
● Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a closely related discipline.
● At least three (3) years of relevant post-qualification experience as an Interior Designer.
● Demonstrated experience in residential and/or commercial interior design projects.
● Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software.
● Strong understanding of materials, finishes, colour theory and spatial planning.
● Excellent communication, presentation and project coordination skills.
● Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
