Located in the welcoming community of Emmaville in northern NSW, Vegetable Creek Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience across both Emergency Department care and 13 residential aged care beds.
We are seeking two enthusiastic and compassionate Assistant in Nursing (AIN) staff to join our team on a 6-month temporary part-time basis. Whether you're currently studying nursing or beginning your healthcare career, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, build your confidence, and gain experience that can open doors to future opportunities within Hunter New England Health.
About the Role and You
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality, compassionate care for patients and residents. This role offers excellent exposure to rural healthcare practice, helping you strengthen your skills and prepare for future nursing progression.
You will:

Work collaboratively as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team
-
Provide safe, respectful, and person-centred care
-
Advocate for patients and residents to ensure excellence in care
-
Build confidence in both acute and aged care environments
-
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and a strong commitment to safety and quality
You will bring one of the following:

Certificate III in Assistant in Nursing (Acute Care), OR
-
Nursing student who has completed 1st year and first semester/trimester of 2nd year, OR
-
Enrolled Nursing student who has completed foundational TAFE NSW Diploma units and 80 hours clinical placement
Experience in aged care is highly regarded, however your commitment to teamwork, learning, and patient care is what matters most.
