Full-Time Management Accountant

DGCA India, DCA Brunei, and DCA Malaysia. With over 30 years of experience in the aviation
industry, we specialise in providing top-notch repair and refurbishment services for cabin interiors.
Our expertise covers seating products, galley products, plastic components, cabin interior
components, and leather restoration. We are committed to adhering to the regulatory standards set
by aviation authorities to ensure that our maintenance, repair, and inspection processes meet the
highest industry standards. Over the past 30 years, we have evolved significantly and are now
strategically expanding our global presence. We have established fully equipped component and
seat shops, as well as repair stations in Singapore (our Head Office), Malaysia, Australia, and India.
Our Australian Office is currently seeking an experienced Management Accountant to build and own
our management accounting function. You will work closely with the General Manager, providing
cost analysis, forecasting and financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Your duties will include:
- Develop and maintain job and product costing models for all overhaul types, including direct
materials, labour and overhead allocation
- Perform Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculations and investigate variances between actual and
budgeted costs
- Conduct cost variance and rework analysis to identify cost drivers and recommend corrective
actions
- Analyse profitability and gross margins across work streams, capability lines and customers
- Provide costing support for customer quotes, tenders and pricing decisions
- Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts and financial models covering production activity, inventory and
capital expenditure
- Manage inventory valuation, monitor stock movements and working capital requirements
- Conduct capital investment appraisals, including ROI, payback and cost-benefit analysis
- Develop and monitor KPIs linking financial performance to operational outcomes
- Integrate and reconcile cost data between Quantum Control (MRO system) and Xero to support
internal management reporting
- Partner with operational managers to identify cost-saving and efficiency improvement
opportunities
- Prepare and present monthly management reports, including profitability, cost performance and
variance analysis, to support management decision-making.
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management regarding budgeting, forecasting, pricing
strategies and business performance improvement.
- Review and enhance costing methodologies, financial controls and management reporting
processes to improve operational efficiency.
We expect you to have:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- at least one year of experience in management or cost accounting
- Strong background in product costing, COGS and variance analysis
- Proficiency with Xero; MRO or ERP system experience is advantageous
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- CPA or CA (or working towards) well-regarded
- Experience in a manufacturing, aviation or MRO environment is desirable
Salary: $85,000 – $88,000 per annum plus superannuation
