The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurses (Children's Critical Care) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Lead a team in the provision of excellent, evidence based, family centred care to children
Provide leadership through role modelling, mentorship, coaching, and innovative behaviours
Have advanced clinical expertise and provide bedside teaching and support to the nursing team
Manage critically ill children requiring advanced respiratory support
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Permanent Part Time (several positions, hours ranging from 48-72 per fortnight)
Temporary Part time (temporary contracts from 6 -12 months, with possibility of extension)
Base salary ranging from $57.48 -$61.55 per hour
About Us
The Children's Critical Care Unit (CCCU) provides four intensive care beds for children from birth to the end of schooling who require close monitoring and/or specialist intensive care due to illness, accident or following a procedure (elective or emergency). The service accepts patients from all Gold Coast areas and surrounds including as far south as northern New South Wales and as far north as the Sunshine Coast.
